Parliament Elections- 2009

Bangalore South Parliament Constituency
Thank You, for taking time to read this blog. Hope that everyone who reads this blog will agree with me, and I wish you will discuss your opinions on this blog, so that we can come to a collective decision for the steps to be taken for changing our political system.
Considering the fact that some of our politicians are misusing the platform of politics for their personal growth and achievements (economically), I have analyzed to the best of my knowledge the path we need to take in changing our political process in order for us to live a better and successful life. In the process, I have chosen Bangalore South Parliament Constituency as a first step and have given my thumbs up to our candidate Mr. Krishna BG. As his campaign says” Krishna BG for a better Bangalore”
Candidate: Krishna BG, from Indian National Congress
Krishna’s Vision:
- Clean environment for Bangalore, by bringing in changes for controlling pollution
- Commitment of politicians to their constituency, people and the country, by being transparent in their developmental activities
- Progressive and creative approach in providing solutions to the problems of the constituency, state and India
- Implementing new alternatives for our traffic congestion problems, with innovative methods of urban planning
Krishna's Achievements:

Our (Young & Educated Citizens of Bangalore and India) Vision :
- To have an educated representative, who can echo our thoughts & needs in the parliament?
- Elect our candidates based on their achievements and background
- Involve in the political process, else we are losing out to conventional politicians who take advantage of the citizens and make us feel helpless
- Take control of our political process by increasing the youth count in Parliament, who can represent our country better internationally
- Please suggest any additional Vision, if I am missing.
Things we need to do:
- Vote and campaign among friends and families to vote.
- Choose the candidate who can represent our ideology, for me, this time it is Mr. Krishna BG, and I whole heartedly campaign for Mr. Krishna BG.
Let us make this election count, for all the reasons we have been talking over the years about the shortcomings of the Governments, Politicians and the System. I feel there is a need for educated people to involve in the political system and utilize their creativity to bring in changes or improvements to our political system.
Are you feeling that all the politicians are corrupted?
If yes, what can we do within our reach?
Vote Vote Vote, Vote the young, energetic, ethical and educated candidate. At least they can understand our problems and be transparent.
Do you think that we have the worst Infrastructure and deteriorating pollution control in Bangalore?
First step is to choose an educated candidate, who can accept new ideas and suggestions from the citizens of Bangalore, to bring in changes through creative thinking.
Vote Mr. Krishna BG for his transparency of funds allocated to the developmental activities.
Do you blame the political process for some or the other reason?
Involve in the political process, VOTE VOTE VOTE, campaign to VOTE, and show the strength of the youth by electing our candidate Mr. Krishna BG.
Are you feeling the country will be in wrong hands if Left Front or other NEW FRONT is elected?
Vote for the party like Congress, which runs like an Organization, with country's interests in their vision.
How can we achieve our Goals by electing Mr. Krishna BG?
Since, Mr. Krishna BG has proven us in being transparent in the developmental activities taken in his Assembly constituencies Vemgal and Byatarayanapura, I am sure that he does the same for our Bangalore South MP constituency. Based on his approach to involve youth in the political process by inducting many new and educated aspirants into youth congress, he has assured that there will be a good representation of the youths from all walks of life and professions which will give an opportunity for every citizen to involve in the political process.
To summarize, based on Mr. Krishna BG's background and his achievements, we can support his candidature for Bangalore South Constituency. So that, we will have a young and educated representative that will make us proud as Bangaloreans.
Thoughts and Suggestions:
Please comment on this blog for any suggestions or would like to have a discussion for the cause of Bangalore, Karnataka and our country India; let us show our presence in this election.

1) We have two major terror minds in police.
Kasabi and Afzal Guru.
will you make your they get death penality and Govt does the needed.
2) What will you do to make sure Satyam like frud will never happen again. will center go after the AP govt thugs that let this happen
3) What are questions you will ask in Dehli ? in last 5 years not one MP from Karnataka asked oral and written questions that is worth talking about
4) What is your take on defense spending ?
5) What is your take on 123 aggremment with USA ? without this new form of powersupply flowing to bengaluru what is the use of giving ration cards to all the bangla illgel immigrants.
I have more questions. But these will get my vote.
Thanks for your comments, and I appreciate your time for thinking about our country and involving in the system.
We have to take one step at a time and look beyond the horizon, In a diversified country like ours, lot of things happen, but at the same time we also have to concentrate on the development of the country, rather than getting distracted to issues that are less important than the growth of our country.
Having said that, We have to involve in the cleanup of this system, to do so, we need a stable government.
At this time, based on the political devlopments that are happening around the country, I feel only Congress can give us stability.
Think of a Third Front or Fourth Front getting together to form a government, it is very scary for our country's growth.
Be it our house or a small family, if we need to acheive something, we need to have a clear goal and stability. At this point of time, I feel Congress is the only party that can give stable government.
Next step in the process, is to run a campaign for the cases you have mentioned about Afzal Guru, Navin Chawla and other issues.
Please vote and campaign to vote for Stability, which is Congress and Let us make sure our young representatives will not loose this oppurtunity.
Congress ruled india for many many years. They made us into a what we are today. Unfortunate thing is they have not changed and they still follow the 60's way of governing. Only good thing they did is to keep the country together.
Both Krishna and Anant Kumar are good candidates.
If elected, Krishana would be an MP wheather UPA comes to power or not But Anant Kumar will be a senior minister if NDA comes to power. He would better server the state.
we need to choose the best among them.
Both KBG and Ananth are young and dynamic. I need to think of who will do what once they become MP.
Hence Ananth can do more than KBG.
Although India's defense budget for fiscal 2008-09 has been hiked by only five per cent in real terms to Rs 105,000 crore ($26.4 billion), Actually for the first time in 10 years it has fallen to less than 2% of the GDP due to fiscal pressures and larger allocations for farm, health and education sectors.
India’s spending on the defense sectors is much lower compared to its neighbors with Pakistan at five per cent and China at almost seven per cent.
On certain parameters, China's defense expenditure compares favorably with the other major powers. China's defence expenditure overtook that of Japan ($42 billion) and Germany ($37.5 billion) in 2007, but still lagged behind the United Kingdom ($62.38 billion) and France ($50.78 billion) whose economies are now much smaller than that of China. It is, of course a small fraction -- less than one-tenth -- of the United States' defence budget of $532.8 billion, not counting the supplementary grants sought by the Pentagon later in the year.
Compared with China, India's budgetary transparency is indeed noteworthy -- even though many Indian analysts are of the view that the government does not disclose sufficient details in the annually published Defence Services Estimates. Except in the last two years, the annual increase in India's defence budget has barely kept pace with inflation. India's defence budget is less than half of China's officially claimed figure and is between one-fourth and one-third of China's actual defence expenditure.
India's growing economy can easily sustain a 0.5 to 1 per cent hike in the defence budget over a period of three to five years, especially if the government simultaneously shows the courage to reduce wasteful subsidies
123 Agreement
In my view point the 123 agreement is the flagship achievement by the UPA. By means of this agreement there will be nearly $100 billion investment. I think the deal is a good package and india’s concern has been finally addressed

If India has reached this far, its because of congress. If you see any development or progress in India, you see congress behind it. BJP has nothing in its store to talk about except religion and hatred.

Congrats for your good blog. Its good that you are promoting a young leader from available candidate.
I have a few queries on this.
1. Once KBG wins, he'll putting one more by-election on Byatarayanpura constituency. How far is it good to spend tax-payer's money just for an election that benefits a person or a party. Why do parties nominate put sitting MP/MLAs for elections. Dont you think this is an utter waste of money?
I've few more queries on this. But this is my highest priority.
Thanks & Regards,
Hari.

During last state elections, I took initiative and turned all my village votes to Mr Krishna, thought he can do something for our village, but now he is leaving our Constitution and moving to MP. Is this not opportunistic? we believed and expected some work and good things from him and voted for victory. Is this good to keep jumping the places and making extra cost, burden to country and people. If he gets elected, then again one more re-election for Byatarayanapura and again same process, we have to stand in lines.
2. I don't think something miracle will happen from Congress party through MR. KBG. Has everybody knows that what congress party did for India and specially Karnataka for 50yrs. May be some more places will be names after Indira / Nehru / Raajeev in Bangalore South.
I feel, instead going through all big corrupt parties, lets start a new with all youths, let Mr KBG and others who wanted to work to build nation can join the party and lets take state, city, villages in success path instead hanging to the family parties.

Good to see your comments and appreciate your participation in the election thought process.
I understand your concerns of the tax payers money for the reelection.
I also feel that investing on a good cause is always valuable. Since, Mr Krishna BG has so much potential, strength and knowledge of serving our state and people on higher grounds. We will definitely reap the benefits of spending on the reelection by his motivation to lead the state representation in the parliament and churning out new leaders who can work on our vision.
We should also consider that the reelections are not happening because of some of the leaders jumping parties when political parties bought the candidates after our recent assembly elections.
To summarize, a leader who is ethical and has the potential to motivate other leaders with a better vision for the development of the state and country should definitely achieve higher positions. Hope I have given a convincing answer here to the best of my knowledge.
Let us focus, and get our candidate the votes he needs to win and give him the needed support to lead and motivate other leaders.

Thanks for the comments, and please do not confuse about the age factor, it is not about needing old people. It is about the dynamism, energy and fresh ideas, you will have when you are young. It is about what the political system needs and the encouragement we give other youngsters to involve in the process, in order to bring in their creativity and commitment to politics.
Mr Krishna BG has already proved that he is a clean and dynamic politician. And he is committed to the society and does not give false promises.
Good luck Krishna.
